Tomescroll is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service and personalise your feed. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

Anonymous user identifier

When you first open the app, we generate a random identifier (UUID) and store it locally on your device. This identifier is sent with each request to personalise your feed. It is not linked to your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information unless you choose to sign in (see below).

Firebase account (optional)

If you choose to sign in, we use Firebase Authentication (provided by Google) to create and manage your account. Firebase may collect your email address and authentication tokens. Your Firebase user ID is then associated with your feed history to sync your personalised feed across devices and app restarts. Sign-in is entirely optional; you can use Tomescroll anonymously at any time.

Feed activity

We record which cards you have viewed (marked as "seen") and how far you have progressed through topics. This data is used solely to power the feed algorithm — ensuring you are shown cards relevant to your interests and that you have not already seen.

Subscription information

If you purchase a subscription, we use RevenueCat as our subscription management platform. RevenueCat processes payments via the App Store or Google Play and provides us with your subscription status (e.g. Free, Monthly, or Annual). We do not receive or store your payment card details. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Technical and usage data

Our servers log standard information such as the timestamp and result of API requests. These logs are used for debugging and service reliability. They are not used to build profiles about individual users.

Anonymous feed history is retained for as long as your device identifier is active. If you delete and reinstall the app, a new identifier is generated and no history is carried over.

If you are signed in, your account data is retained until you request deletion. To request deletion of your account and associated data, please contact us at privacy@tomescroll.app.

Tomescroll is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
